Turbocharger And Supercharger

Turbocharger and supercharger is a device that forces air into the cylinder to create pressure greater than atmospheric pressure for increased engine output.

Generally, the magnitude of engine output is influenced by the amount of air-fuel mixture, combustion is performed at a certain time period, and will grow along with the increasing number of air-fuel mixture.

This means, to increase engine output, the volume of step machine or engine speed should bebe improved .

Only problem is when the volume was raised step machines, weight machines also increased, in addition to several other factors such as friction losses, vibration and sound of moving parts when engine speed limitimproved .

Supercharger find the opposite requirements when the engine output is to be improved, with the engine remains compact and lightweight. How, by increasing the supply of fuel and air volume without changing the size of the engine.

This equipment is controlled by two methods: turbocharger driven by exhaust gas and the supercharger is driven by the engine.
