2012 Hyundai Accent



Overview
Redesigned for 2012, gains entry-level Hyundai Accent style similar to the great Hyundai Elantra and Sonata sedans. With direct injection four-cylinder car is EPA rated at 30/40 mpg city / highway - numbers that few peers can match. Available in sedan and four-door hatchback, the Accent competes with the Ford Fiesta, the Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris and Chevrolet Sonic. The Kia Rio has also redesigned for 2012, are linked.

The sedan comes in a simple GLS accent finish. The tailgate is GS and SE high-end equipment.

Exterior
That includes Hyundai "fluidic sculpture" design ethos, Accent Elantra seems strikingly similar to drop-shaped headlights and fog lights with. Compared to the previous generation Accent sedan is 3.5 inches longer. The four-door Accent hatchback is 10 centimeters shorter than the sedan, although both cars to drive same 101.2-inch step. As the entry-level model, Accent GLS is equipped with a standard, the GS and SE sedans have more features. Exterior features include:

Interior
Gone is the duration of the previous tone dashboard, replaced by a more gradual increase in the windshield. Part of the center instrument panel is diving audio and climate controls, a navigation system is not available. Total passenger sedan is about 90 cubic feet, down slightly from the generation of the Accent sedan before. The hatchback provides 21.2 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the rear seats and 47.5 cubic feet of maximum volume with the seats folded. The latter exceeds the figure competitors.



GLS sedan with no options is poorly equipped, lacking air conditioning, power windows and radio. All three are optional. Interior features include:

- Electrical options and keyless entry
- Optional Audio steering wheel controls
- The optional air conditioning, cruise control
- Optional USB / iPod compatible stereo CD
- Optional Piano Black chrome door accents

Under the Hood
The Accent is a small four-cylinder engine is new this year, with direct injection technology, which is unusual for this class. It works by using the new gearbox six-speed. Mechanical features include:

- 1.6-liter four-cylinder with 138 horsepower and 123 lb-ft of torque
- Standard six-speed manual
- Optional six-speed automatic
- Eco button default dashboard modulates the throttle response and automatic switching to improve fuel economy up to 7 percent

Safety
The new 2012 is electronic stability control, which was not available last year. Stability are necessary for the federal 2012, as such, the Accent is a constant. Safety features include:

- All disk anti-lock brakes
- Traction control and electronic stability system
- Front airbags and side curtain
- Active front headrests
