2012 Acura TL

Overview

The fourth-generation TL has been updated for the 2012 model year, refine the style inside and out. Acura claims that the car is quieter, too, and again with the front bumper and rear, is the 2012 TL now shorter as well. Acura popular midsize sedan is available in different cuts to front-wheel drive or manipulation is called Super All-Wheel Drive. Two engines, a 3.5L or 3.7L V-6 offered in the TL with a six-speed manual or new six-speed automatic transmission. The manual transmission is optional on SH-AWD equipped TLS, and comes with a standard 305 horsepower 3.7L V-6, the most powerful engine Acura ever built.

What's new?

By 2012, the links in a new TL looks with impressive performance with a new front bumper that has a newly refined grid. Updated headlights, turn signals, lights and a new light design is also a cosmetic surgery to improve the aerodynamics of the front-end is.



Outside

Beyond the door is a sedan that is a force to be reckoned with. The TL seems to be moving even when standing still because of the clarity of lines running down the sides. A 2012 model plays the 17 -, 18 -, or aluminum wheels, 19 inches. The TL SH-AWD is highlighted with a special emblem on the trunk and 19-inch five-spoke aluminum wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires.







Internal

A leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel that lights cross the road. The driver's seat is adjustable and heated 10-way, while eight passenger seats and the leather is wrapped in Milano on the technology package. Seats to cool and heat is optional. With the technology package, keyless access system, Acura Navigation System with voice recognition and rearview camera, satellite communication system AcuraLink, real-time traffic with rerouting traffic, real-time weather maps and radar images offered. If you choose the technology package, you get two more speakers with the Acura / ELS Surround premium audio system. SH-AWD provides unique sport seats and a new information system on blind corners.



Performance and handling

The TL reaches its full potential when a V-6 3.7 L is coupled to the 6-speed manual. Automatic versions deftly around corners and provides a comfortable ride and travel with a rewarding sense of urgency. Electronically controlled hydraulic engine to reduce vibration and Advanced Control Shift Hold minimizes unwanted movement while driving fast. A sport exhaust system tuned twin tips produce a powerful note and paddle shifters feature in the drive and sport modes. Both TL engines programmed injection, which regulates fuel flow often to get the best power, fuel economy and low emissions.









Safety

A number of airbags and active head restraints for driver and front passenger are standard. Various aids braking and stability / traction control to keep TL at a controlled rate. Advanced Compatibility Body structure engineering is used in TL and improved occupant protection and crash compatibility in frontal crashes. This design uses an interconnected structural elements that distribute the impact energy evenly across the front of the vehicle. It also helps spread the forces transferred to other vehicles in a collision. Electronic Brake Distribution circuit automatically distributes braking force between front and rear wheels based on vehicle weight distribution. EBD allows TL effectively stop with just a driver or full load of passengers and luggage.
